"Using God's Power"

Acts 1:8

The Bible tells us that all of God’s children have access to His power.   The Holy Spirit gives us the power to understand / remember relevant passages of scripture; He gives us power in our prayers; and gives us what many of us consider the best power of all:  peace in the midst of difficult times.   It’s great to have all this power so that our lives can be improved.   But does God give us all these gifts, and more, just so we can have “better lives?”    Or does He have something else in mind beyond making us feel good?

God definitely wants to improve our lives through the power of His Holy Spirit; but God also expects us to actually USE His power!  And how are we to use that power?    We are to use His power to help others come to know His love, mercy and grace.
