“During the forty days after his crucifixion, he appeared to the apostles from time to time and proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. On these occasions he talked to them about the Kingdom of God.”

“In one of these meetings as he was eating a meal with them, he told them, "Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you what he promised. Remember, I have told you about this before. [5] John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."

“When the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking him, "Lord, are you going to free Israel now and restore our kingdom?"   [7] "The Father sets those dates," he replied, "and they are not for you to know.”

“You won't be able to say, 'Here it is!' or 'It's over there!' For the Kingdom of God is among you* (or “is within you”)."

“But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

"The truth is, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. [13] You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, because the work of the Son brings glory to the Father. [14] Yes, ask anything in my name, and I will do it!”

“And the Holy Spirit helps us in our distress. For we don't even know what we should pray for, nor how we should pray. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.”

“He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world at large cannot receive him, because it isn't looking for him and doesn't recognize him. But you do, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.”

“But when the Father sends the Counselor as my representative—and by the Counselor I mean the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I myself have told you.”
