"Replacing Trash With Treasures"

Ephesians 4:30 - 5:20

It’s a weekly tradition for most of us.   We gather the old, smelly refuse of our lives and get rid of it.  The trouble is, we simply replace old trash with new trash each week – it’s seemingly an unending process.    Unfortunately, we have a similar tradition spiritually as well.  We seem to accumulate a certain amount of “spiritual refuse” which is as equally smelly to God as the stuff in our trash cans is to us.   God wants us to get rid of the spiritual trash in our lives and replace it with His treasures rather than merely with more trash.  If we are able to do this, our lives will start exuding God’s love and grace and tenderness and mercy.
