Matthew 27:62 (NLT) The next day—on the first day of the Passover ceremonies—the leading priests and Pharisees went to see Pilate.
Matthew 27:63 (NLT) They told him, "Sir, we remember what that deceiver once said while he was still alive: 'After three days I will be raised from the .'
Matthew 27:64 (NLT) So we request that you seal the tomb until the third day. This will prevent his disciples from coming and stealing his body and then telling everyone he came back to life! If that happens, we'll be worse off than we were at first."
Matthew 27:65‑66 (NLT) Pilate replied, "Take guards and secure it the best you can." [66] So they sealed the tomb and posted guards to protect it.
Ezekiel 36:26 (NLT) And I will give you a new heart with new and right desires, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony heart of sin and give you a new, obedient heart.
Ezekiel 36:27 (NLT) And I will put my Spirit in you so you will obey my laws and do whatever I command.
Mark 16:1 (NLT) The next evening, when the Sabbath ended, Mary Magdalene and Salome and Mary the mother of James went out and purchased burial spices to put on Jesus' body.
Mark 16:2‑3 (NLT) Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise, they came to the tomb. [3] On the way they were discussing who would roll the stone away from the entrance to the tomb.

Matthew 27:57‑58 (NLT) As evening approached, Joseph, a rich man from Arimathea who was one of Jesus' followers, [58] went to Pilate and asked for Jesus' body. And Pilate issued an order to release it to him.
Matthew 27:59‑60 (NLT) Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a long linen cloth. [60] He placed it in his own new tomb, which had been carved out of the rock. Then he rolled a great stone across the entrance as he left.
Matthew 28:1 (NLT) Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to see the tomb.
Matthew 28:2 (NLT) Suddenly there was a great earthquake, because an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and rolled aside the stone and sat on it.
Matthew 28:3‑4 (NLT) His face shone like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow. [4] The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a faint.
Matthew 28:5‑6 (NLT) Then the angel spoke to the women. "Don't be afraid!" he said. "I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. [6] He isn't here! He has been raised from the , just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.
Matthew 28:7 (NLT)
And now, go quickly and tell his disciples he has been raised from the , and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember, I have told you."
