Luke 19:28 - 41

There are certain occasions in life which bring a mixed blessing of joy and sadness.   For example, most people enjoy celebrating their birthday with family and friends; but some birthday milestones are more enjoyable than others.   We typically are really excited to turn 16, 18 or 21; but when it is time to turn the page over on 40, 50, 60, etc., there is often a much different feeling involved.

When we look at the biblical story of Palm Sunday, we see that it was a “bitter sweet” celebration for Jesus.   While it is almost always a good idea to try to follow Jesus’ example, this is especially true as we face those bitter sweet moments of life.
