Our Missions Outreach
We may be located in a small town in Kansas, but our ministry efforts are felt way beyond the borders of Kansas.   Each year we give a substantial amount of money, roughly 10% of all that is donated to our church, to various missions, ministries and outreaches:

  • Some of it goes to the ABCCR which they use for their various regional and national ministries (including foreign missions)
  • Some of it goes to the Deacon’s Fund which is managed by the Deacons of First Baptist Church to help various members of the church who may have financial need
  • Some of it goes to The Associated Churches (TAC), which is the “ministerial association” of Caney.   This is used to help needy members of the community with financial need, as well as travelers who are stranded “on the road.”   TAC also puts on an annual Vacation Bible School for the children of the community.
  • Some of it goes towards missions trips that our members take, like the trip we have taken for several years to Beautiful Feet, a homeless shelter in Fort Worth, TX
  • Some of it goes to our Missions Committee here at First Baptist.   The Missions Committee helps a variety of missions and ministries:
  • Ralph and Betty Fuqua, missionaries to Mexico;
  • Murrow Indian Children’s Home in Muskogee, OK;
  • Anadarko Children’s Home in Anadarko, OK;
  • Beautiful Feet Ministries in Fort Worth, TX;
  • PSU Campus Ministries in Pittsburg, KS;
  • and other ministries whose needs come before the Missions Committee.

Feel free to contact us if you would like more specific information on our budget and how the missions money is distributed.
