The rally, which they are calling a "Pair-a-Dice Poker Run," will be a 90 mile ride from the First Baptist Church of Caney through Tyro, Wann, Copan, Hulah, Bowring, Chautauqua, Sedan, Peru, Niotaze and back to FBC Caney. We will have stops along the way with water and refreshments available -- and riders can roll dice to help determine who the winners will be.
The entrance fee is $10 for the first "poker card," and $5 for each additional "card." The top three cards will win prizes. There will also be a 50/50 pot and lots of door prizes.
Bikes, trykes, and even cars are welcome to participate in this run.
The first group of riders will be sent out at 10:00 a.m. and we will send out additional groups in stages. When all the riders are back at the church, we will have a dinner at about 5:30 p.m. and then give out awards. We are in the process of contacting a Blue Grass band which will give a concert at about 6:30 p.m. Keep checking back with this web site and we will update the information as we get closer to the date.
We need your help!
We need to know the names and addresses of the "local" military who are stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan so we can make sure they receive a "care package" from the church -- just to let them know we appreciate what they are doing. If you have a friend or family member from this area that you would like to receive a care package, contact pastor Dan DeWitt and give him the contact information. You can call him at the church office (620) 879--5220, or send him an email at
